Warid’s 4G-LTE launch date confirmed

Warid telecom is catching up with it’s high speed internet data connectivity and licensing issues and finally the date on which Warid customers will be able to enjoy 4G-LTE high-speed data connectivity on their mobile phones has been revealed.

According to very credible sources, the 4G-LTE roll-out will begin in September 2014 and customers will be able to use high-speed internet. No details have yet surfaced about the location where this roll-out will start but obviously this will begin with the 3 metropolitan cities i.e Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad and eventually will spread to other parts of the country.

Warid 4G LTE

Earlier this year, all other telecom companies in Pakistan went through 3G/4G spectrum license auction by PTA. Mobilink, Telenor, Ufone and Zong have already launched there 3G services and Zong is due to launch the 4G network soon. I’m sure Warid is not far behind if they actually launch in September.

Ericsson is known to be the technology partner of Warid Telecom who’s installing the 4G/LTE network in Pakistan.
